Sherri Hill – Pageant To Haute Couture WBM Caught It

Sherri Hill  presented a beautifully crafted collection, full of regal design elements. Which to no surprise, since the night before the newest Miss America was crowned in one of the designer’s custom gowns. For the last several years, the pageant world has coveted the eponymous line, known for delivering hand beaded details and luxurious fabrications. And this evening, not missing a beat, Sherri Hill’s Spring 2017 collection delivered swoon-worthy feminine dresses and evening gowns fit for a queen. Models who strutted the Gotham Hall (a.k.a. NYC’s Premiere Wedding venue) cat-walk included celebrities and reigning beauties, Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Miss USA Deshauna Barber.

According to the Sherri Hill playbook, the closets of the femininely stylish and powerful should be stocked full of fancy beaded frocks, lace evening gowns with tulle trains, fitted long skirts with bustles, and cleavage plunging jumpsuits with tie neck scarves. The color palette ran the spectrum also, from classic ivory, bold blues and reds, pastels, (including Spring’s stand-out color blush pink) to fancy prints. There were even mini-me versions of the dramatic evening gowns.  The pint size set were presented by the most adorable tweens…possibly upstaging the queen of the universe.
